Privacy policy

When you choose to record, the Chrome extension may capture the selected tab, Chrome window, or screen; visible page content and resources; page URLs and navigation; clicks, pointer movement, DOM changes, and other interactions needed to reproduce the workflow; and microphone or camera media only when you enable those options.

Rendemo also processes account and workspace information needed to authenticate you, connect the extension, upload captures, and provide the service.

The extension does not continuously record your browsing. Capture begins only after you choose a source and start recording. A visible recording state is shown while capture is active. Connected captures upload when you stop; manual captures remain local until you choose Send to Rendemo or export them.

We use captured information only to provide and improve Rendemo’s user-facing features: creating recordings, interactive demos, videos, guidance, redaction tools, reliability improvements, and related workspace functionality. We do not sell captured information or use it for targeted advertising.

Capture data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections to Rendemo and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf for hosting, storage, authentication, product processing, and delivery. We do not transfer captured data to unrelated third parties. Workspace members may access content according to the permissions selected by the workspace owner.

You can pause or stop a recording, disable microphone and camera capture, export locally, review and redact captured material, and delete recordings or generated content from Rendemo. You can remove the extension at any time from Chrome. Contact us if you need help accessing or deleting account information.

The extension uses Chrome permissions only for its recording purpose: storage for capture state and workspace connection, active-tab and scripting access to record the chosen workflow, tab capture for tab video, desktop capture for a chosen window or screen, offscreen processing for reliable media finalization, and host access to preserve the page resources required for an accurate replay.

Rendemo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve the extension’s single, user-facing recording and demo-creation purpose.

We retain account and capture information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and reliability, comply with legal obligations, or until it is deleted through the product or by request. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted transport and access controls.
